Utility Billing Information


DURING WINTER MONTHS if City Hall is closed due to Bad Weather or Bad Road Conditions, Utility Billing Cycles will be altered. 

Due Dates, Delinquency Dates, and Shut Off Dates will be scheduled for the next open business day.

Monthly Billing Cycle

  • Water Meters are read on or around the 15th of the month
  • Utility Bills will be printed and sent out by the 20th of the month
  • Utility Bills are due on the 1st of the following month
  • A delinquency Penalty of 10% of your total bill will be added on the 6th of the month at 10:00AM
  • All Utility Bills must be paid by the 15th or Delinquency will be cause for Shut Off's
  • Shut Offs occur on the 16th of each month at 10:00AM

**If a billing cycle date should fall on a weekend or holiday, the task will be completed on the following business day.


You may make a payment for your Utility Bill at City Hall during normal business hours. If you are unable to make it to City Hall at these times, you may also make a payment by leaving payment in the secured drop box outside of City Hall (which is checked daily), mail in a payment, or make a payment over the phone using a debit or credit card.

  • Debit/Credit Card(s) **VISA, MasterCard, American Express & Discover

**Debit/Credit Card transactions will not be accepted after 4:00 p.m. Daily Reports are completed by the City Clerk and in order for the report to be completed and correct by closing, all transactions must be in by 4:00 p.m.

Service & Tampering Fee's 

  • A Service Fee of $50.00 will be charged to each account that has been shut off due to delinquency. In order for water to be re-connected the $50.00 Service Fee must be paid along with the delinquent balance on the account. 
  • Tampering with a city meter will be cause for legal action. 


  • Arrangements will not be made with any City Employee at any time.
  • If it is necessary to make an arrangement to pay a Utility Bill, the individual must present their case to the Board of Alderman at the Monthly Board of Aldermen (BOA) Meeting.
  • BOA Meeting’s are the first Mondays of the Month at 6:00pm.
  • If you would like to present and Arrangement Case to the Board please call City Hall (at least 48 hours before the meeting) to make arrangements to be put on the agenda for the meeting you wish to attend.  


      We would like to remind the community that these are the ordinances and rules that are in place. The Staff at City Hall do not make these policies, but we are required by the Board of Aldermen to enforce them. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the Utility Billing Cycle we are happy to listen. All suggestions should be brought to the Monthly Board of Aldermen (BOA) Meetings. If you would like to present a Utility Billing suggestion to the Board please call City Hall (at least 48 hours before the meeting) to make arrangements to be put on the agenda for the meeting you wish to attend.

As approved by the Board of Alderman, beginning Monday, March 24, 2014, City Hall of Hawk Point, Missouri will be Closed to the Public each Monday of the week until further notice.

Any Billing cycle date that should fall on a Monday will be addressed on the following business day.

Water & Sewer Information

The City of Hawk Point operates and maintains it own water and sewer department within the city limits of Hawk Point.  The City also supplies water to Drunert Estates and The Timbers Subdivisions.  New water and sewer accounts can be set up by stopping in City Hall .  Trash service is also included in the water and sewer bill for City Residents only, all others must contract trash service for themselves. 

Trash Service

Trash service is included in the water/sewer bill for all residents who reside in the city limits at a rate of $10.23 a month, all others must make arrangements for their own service.        

Trash is picked up very early monday mornings.  All trash must be placed in toter supplied by the trash company.  On the last monday of the month, the trash company will come back and pick up 1  large item.   Please call with any questions on trash service.                                           

Questions about your Bill...

If you ever have any questions or complaints, please feel free to call the City Hall at 636-338-4377 during regular business hours and the City Clerk will be happy to help you. We hope you will call us when you have a concern. We can all benefit from open lines of communication. Our staff does not make the policies, but they are required by the Board of Aldermen to enforce them.

Credit/Debit Card Payments

You may pay your water/ sewer bill with your credit or debit card.  Credit or Debit Cards are accepted from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To pay your bill using either, you may stop in at City Hall or call City Hall at (636)338-4377.  You can also pay through your bank using "bill pay", just include the address P.O. Box 147 and your account #.  Please call  if you have any questions.

Water Shut Off's

REMINDER: Bills are considered delinquent if not paid by the 5th.  After the 15th, service will be shut-off and a $50.00 Service Fee will be applied.  If your water has been shut of due to delinquency, please call or come into City Hall to schedule a time between 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Tuesday - Friday) to have your water re-connected.  Our city Maintenance Staff does not disconnect or re-connect water on the weekends or after 3:30 p.m., (Tuesday - Friday).

Also, someone must be home when water is being re-connected. This is to insure that there is no running water in the home during time of re-connection.
